Been using this software for a 2 years fine. I have it on one machine as 2009v35. I installed the latest version on another machine. Both machines are XP Pro. On the new machine converting M2TS files to DivX AVI does not work (video fine, sound bad). This conversion works fine on old machine with 2009v35

Uninstalled 2010v37 and installed the older 2009v35 on the the new machine. Now Super is not starting. Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest 2010v37, and it runs fine, but does not do the M2TS conversion properly.

1. SUPER DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO INSTALL AN OLDER VERSION ON YOUR MACHINE.

2. SUPER BULLETIN BOARD DOES NOT LOAD UP, and other bulletin boards claim the board is a mess (their opinion, not mine).

3. SUPER SUPPORT IS ONLY VIA THE NON LOADING BULLETIN BOARD ..... (ok others were able to load it but complaining of not being able to sign in .... just google for the reference).

Super does most conversions fine, but may not do all it advertises.

For converting dvd videos to play on Microsoft iPhone Video Player, I strongly recommend you all 4Videosoft DVD to iPhone Converter. It is one of the best transfer software that I’ve ever used. You can convert your favorite videos to iPhone MP4, iPhone H.264/MPEG-4 video format. Just a few clicks, you can finish all the steps. That’s wonderful! If you are interested in it, you can try: http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/4Videosoft_DVD_to_iPhone_Converter

I have been using SUPER for almost 2 years now and have had absolutely no problems with it at all. I have recommended it to good friends of mine and and I ask them what they think of it and they also like the program with no complaints about downloading or installing issues.

The first post in here is dated September 23, 2006 (40 months ago..)
Do you think it is still worth it do discuss whether SUPER is a trojan or not, OBVIOUSLY it is a 100% clean program, which is very handy and useful for audio/video conversion.

I wonder why concerned people keep recommending MediaCoder. It may be open source, but it definatly installs spyware on your computer (OpenCandy and Relevant Knowledge). Check the MediaCoder forum, there are discussions about that.

Hello everyone,
I would like to share my experience about SUPER, I am using it on a Vista 32 bits PC, it works like a charm converting my WMV and other MKV files to my iPod. It is an amazing Freeware.
My constantly updated Norton never complained of any Malware.

I am copying the following text message from another forum:

Quote:
-
FFmpeg official website has listed SUPER as part of the FFmpeg-
Based Projects: http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/projects.html

MEncoder official website has listed SUPER as related projects under Windows: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/projects.html

Microsoft official website identifies SUPER as Vista compatible:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=SUPER%20erightsoft

Sound like some people don't even read before they post. There are a lot of real arguments against this program. It overwrite cygwin1.dll and other DLL files and caused other programs to break. It doesn't uninstall cleanly. It put READ ONLY, HIDDEN files in your Windows system directory. Because of all those, not only it break other programs, sometimes it cause your Window unstable and even BLUE screen of death. To really make your system CLEAN again, pretty much you need to reinstall your Windows OS. If your system only install this program and nothing else, may be it is ok since there is nothing else in your system that will break because of Super.

Hay everyone. Just installed this program myself to convert some avi's to mp4's. It downloaded, installed and ran fine, but when I actually converted a file, AVG Antivirus pulled up a virus in my tmp folder. I have checked out the warning, and on the AVG forums this is flagged as a false positive of one of the converters used in the process. All other scans from AVG turn up nothing, and given how long this software has been around for I would be confident in saying that it's safe.

lol this is the stupidest argument I've ever seen. Nobody made any real argument against this program except that they're suspicious of people who don't speak english and use junky free av programs. Good job to the one dude who was smart enough to send to actually have his suspicious files analyzed.

btw, don't feel too bad ghmgfhk their website is horrible. If anyone still needs this, just use this site instead: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER/old-versions it has direct links to all different versions, including older ones that were more stable.

I feel really stupid, but twice now I've tried to download this program, and each time I find a download link, it just keeps redirecting me to the same few pages in an endless loop. I go here:

http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html

I slowwwly scroll down until I see a link that says Download. Which is all the way at the bottom of the page. I click it and it sends me here:

http://www.erightsoft.net/Superdc.html

This time the first download link I see is in the middle of the first page, I click it and I end up here:

http://www.erightsoft.net/S6Kg1.html

By this time I develop a headache and start screaming at my monitor "WHY CAN'T THESE IDIOTS JUST PUT A LINK TO THE .EXE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE??? ARE ALL OPEN SOURCE DEVELOPERS THIS STUPID???" This time I scroll slowly down looking for a download link again and this time there is no download... I'm just greeted with a highly patronizing "What Are You Waiting For.. Download SUPER © it's FREE ". I'm waiting for you MORONS TO GIVE ME A LINK TO CLICK TO GET THERE, DUHHHHH!!!!

Or maybe I'm the duhhh-moron here and if the link were a snake it would have bit me. Then again this is one of the most poorly-designed webpages I've seen since the bad old days of geocities. This place looks straight out of 1996...
