Actually, it looks like Wikipedia has an entire article about these, called honor system viruses.
If only I was the first to move honor system viruses into the blogging world, I could be rich and famous! Or, at least, full of incoming links, which leads to pagerank and tons of visitors, which leads to fame and riches beyond your wildest dreams. Or, at least, fame and riches of a modest amount, probably well below what your wildest dreams could reach, but at least enough to buy a burger for lunch.
I wonder what other old school Internet memes haven’t made the jump to the blogosphere yet. I guess Kibo’ing for myself isn’t a big deal in today’s fancy world full of Googles and Yahoos.
