The most unexpected thing to me about the gas prices isn’t how much they’re going up, it’s how quickly they’re changing. We started around $2.59 before Katrina. Wednesday night most stations were around $2.99. After that, at the one station that I go past the most:
- Thursday afternoon: $3.18
- Friday afternoon: $3.38
- Friday evening: $3.74
Up by 36 cents in 6 hours. That’s the most impressive part to me. I haven’t been by there today, so I don’t know where we’re at now.
