Some relatively reliable things that I haven’t heard in the media:
- Soldier shot at the Superdome. Heard this live last night on the New Orleans police scanner MP3 stream. Shot in the leg, one person apprehended. It should be reliable news if the police and/or national guard (not sure who) were discussing it on the scanner. Surprised this hasn’t been in the media yet. Or has it, and I missed it?
- Riots and carjackings at gas stations in Baton Rouge. Heard this from an eyewitness on IRC. Again, surprised this isn’t in the news.
The best news from New Orleans is still coming out of Interdictor’s blog. Here’s hoping their network connectivity stays up…
